We fit rear sensor kits: four sensors set into the rear bumper, with an optional display mounted where you can see it easily.

Colour coding to match your vehicle

Sensor heads can be sprayed to your vehicle colour so the finish looks like it left the factory that way. The colour code is usually on the VIN plate or door shut, or your dealer can confirm it over the phone.

Commercial vehicles and tail lifts

The Steelmate PTS400W1 is a 12/24V rear-only audible kit with a wireless speaker and waterproof control box, which makes it well suited to vans and lorries. Where a tail lift is fitted we fabricate a bracket on site so the lift still folds flat and the sensors survive daily loading.

Common questions

Can the sensors be painted to match my car?

Yes. We offer a colour coding service so the sensor heads are sprayed to your vehicle colour for a small additional cost. The code is usually on the VIN plate or door shut.

Audible or visual?

Both are available. Audible is enough for most vans and commercials; cars often take a small display so you get distance as well as tone. We fit rear sensors only.

Will a tow bar set them off?

No. Kits like the Steelmate PTS400W1 can be programmed to ignore a tow bar or spare wheel.

Do you drill the bumper?

Yes, sensors are set into the bumper. That is what makes them work reliably and look factory. Holes are 18.8mm and finished properly, and we colour match the heads on request.
